The old daffodils of the drive

Old Tamar Valley daffodils lining the drive in spring

Each spring the drive at Ince fills with daffodils. Among them are old Tamar Valley varieties such as 'Seagull' and 'White Lady', grown in the valley when its sheltered slopes supplied cut flowers to London markets.

We are adding to them every year, alongside the fritillaries in the long grass and the spring bulbs in the borders. If the open days fall in spring, this is the first thing visitors will see.
