Stay

Ince Barton

The old farmhouse of the estate, decorated with colour and care, with a hidden garden and a wood-fired hot tub looking towards the river.

Ince Barton is the old farmhouse of the estate. You reach it down a long private drive, through fields that slope away to the banks of the Lynher.

It is laid out for a large group, with bedrooms and bathrooms spread across the house so there is always somewhere to retreat to. There is a drawing room, a dining room and a family room with a television, and a kitchen inspired by the 1950s but thoroughly up to date.

Bedrooms

  • Three double or twin rooms, all en suite
  • A bunk room for four
  • One double bedroom on the ground floor, for easier access

Outside

The gardens are large and full of surprises: furnished terraces, a barbecue, and a hidden garden with a wood-fired hot tub.

On the estate

We farm organically and regeneratively, so the pasture and hedges are full of birds and wildlife. Produce from the kitchen garden is often available, and bicycles, kayaks and paddleboards can be arranged.

Getting here

A car is the easiest way to explore. The nearest stations are Saltash and Plymouth, a short taxi ride away. Beaches such as Tregantle and the open country of Dartmoor are within easy reach.
